Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stereographic projection (right) of a cuboctahedron lying on a triangular face (left), in order to illustrate the rotation of a stereogram. The light gray pole symbols show the initial orientation of the cuboctahedron lying on a square face (see Stereogram cuboctahedron 1.png). The cuboctahedron has been rotated by 54.74° around the [110] direction towards the left. The black pole symbols are the stereographic projection of the cuboctahedron in its new orientation (on a triangular face). The displacement of poles initially on the north hemisphere are shown in red, the displacement of poles on the south hemisphere in blue. The indices of the faces are given in parentheses. The axes a, b and c are the basis vectors in the cubic crystal system.
