Description "Die Zackenkrone (Fig. 53), auch antike oder Heidenkrone, Davidskrone genannt, zeigt einen Stirnreif mit 12 Zinken in der Runde von denen sieben sichtbar sind. Die 12 spitzen Zacken haben eine symbolische Bedeutung und stehen im Bezuge zu den 12 Strahlen (Monaten) der Sonne. Im mittleren Staatswappen von Oesterreich ruht diese Krone auf dem Schilde des Königreichs Illyrien. Im Wappen von San Marino erscheint eine Zackenkrone als Stirnreif der Bügelkrone."
