| Description |
English: Stream near Ardeley. Not visible as water, the path of the stream is marked out by the line of bushes around the edge of this maize crop. On Landranger OS maps this stream appears to go nowhere, but it feeds into the lake at Ardeley Bury. Local rumour has it that a trench was dug, routing the stream into the lake, by Italian prisoners of war in the 1940's. |
