Am Morgen des 4. Dezember 1989 besetzten
couragierte Bürgerinnen und Bürger in Erfurt erstmals
während der Friedlichen Revolution in der DDR
die Bezirksverwaltung des Ministeriums für Staatssicherheit
(Stasi) und die Stasi-Untersuchungshaft.
Die weitere Aktenvernichtung konnte so verhindert
werden. Damit begann die Auflösung der Stasi und
das Ringen um Einsichtnahme in die Stasi-Akten,
die heute für alle gesetzlich geregelt ist.
