Description
English: Coins, with Taras Shevchenko name.

Top coin left: On the obverse within the central circle there is depicted the tree of life as an ornamental pattern with the year of issue there under; above there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine; on the ring there is the circumferential inscription: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ – П’ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (National Bank of Ukraine – Five hryvnias).
Top coin right: On the reverse there are the emblem of the All-Ukrainian “Prosvita” (Enlightenment) Society and the circumferential inscription: ВСЕУКРАЇНСЬКЕ ТОВАРИСТВО ІМ. ТАРАСА ШЕВЧЕНКА – 140 РОКІВ (All-Ukrainian Society named after Taras Shevchenko – 140 years).

Bottom coin left: On the coin reverse in the center there is a portrait of T.H.Shevchenko with a poet's autograph under it. Near the portrait there is a singing Kobzar with a boy-guide near a village house. Above around the coin circumference there is the inscription: Т.Г.ШЕВЧЕНКО 1814-1861, underneath there are designations of Аu 900 and 15,55, coin's pure weight.

Bottom coin right: On the coin obverse there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine in the middle of the beads circumference decoration, framed with guelder-rose sprays. Above the State Emblem there is the year of issue - 1996. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА - above and 200 ГРИВЕНЬ - underneath in two lines.
