Description
English: Tauern Superhighway, collapsed Bridge during construction (Accident 16 May 1975), Austria.
Deutsch: Tauernautobahn, während des Baues eingestürzte Brückenteile. Am 16. Mai 1975 brach südlich von Gmünd ein Teil der im Bau befindlichen Tauern-Autobahn-Brücke über das Liesertal ab. Der 280 Tonnen schwere Schalwagen stürzte um 3:30 Uhr zusammen mit elf Arbeitern rund 50 Meter in die Lieser. Ein Arbeiter überlebte das Unglück schwerverletzt, die anderen zehn konnten nur noch tot geborgen werden.
