Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Maiden Stone, Traprain Law The Maiden Stone is simply a large rock that has split away from the adjacent outcrop to form a narrow, vertical gap. It is on the top of Traprain Law, the site of a Iron Age hill fort and settlement. The folklore attached to the stone is that if you walk, or squeeze naked, through the gap between the Maiden Stone and the Mother Rock, your fertility will improve and you will receive good fortune.
