(38.1 cm x 25.72 cm) Publisher: Murataya Jirobei Credit Line: Bequest of Mrs. Cora Timken Burnett Label Copy: "Hanaogi (Flower Fan) was a name granted to exceptional courtesans of the ?giya, or House of the Fan, and the fan motif is prominent on her kimono. The artist has given this Hanaogi the elongated proportions that were fashionable in 1795. Her tall, slender form is further emphasized by contrast to her two young attendants." Label Copy (Spanish): "Hanaogi (abanico de flores) era el nombre que se le otorgaba a las cortesanas excepcionales de ?giya o Casa del Abanico y el motivo del abanico es prominente en su kimono.
