Summary[edit]

Description
English: The disused Anglesey Marine Terminal This was the site where the pipes from the off-shore tanker discharge buoy came ashore. Super tankers would discharge their cargo of crude oil off Amlwch and this would be pumped, via a storage centre at Rhosgoch SH4189 and SH4190, to the Stanlow refineries on Merseyside. The replacement of the super tankers by smaller vessels led to the abandonment of the pipeline in the 1990's with an adverse economic effect not only on Amlwch but also the rest of Anglesey. http://www.amlwchhistory.co.uk/sbm.htm
