The author writes against those who “innovate in religion.” In particular, he believes that Abu Al-Bara’a distorts Islamic law to his own ends. Abu Al-Bara’a ignores any evidence or arguments brought forth contrary to his opinions and picks and chooses what teachings fit his interests. People such as Al-Bara’a do not comprehend the truth.
