[edit] Summary

Description
Inkscape Logo.svg
This vector image was created with Inkscape.
English: This is the genuine Chinese character (𠮷) for "yoshi" of Yoshinoya; its Unicode codepoint is U+20BB7 in the Supplemental Ideographic Plane. It resembles the common character 吉 (U+5409), which is also pronounced "yoshi" in names, but the upper part is traditional Kangxi radical 32 土 "tsuchi" (Japanese for soil) rather than radical 33 士 "samurai; tsukasa". The character can be called "tsuchiyoshi" to discern it from 吉.
日本語: これは吉野家における『吉』の本来の表記です。上部が漢字の『士』ではなく漢字の『土』となっています。故にこの文字は『つちよし』と呼ばれています。
