About 189 Iraqi men, most 30�ish in age, lined up to sign their name on the dotted line and enlist for service during the screening drive in this stretch of small villages located just 14 miles northwest of Ramadi. In this small, mostly-Sunni region nestled along the Euphrates River in Al Anbar Province, Iraqi men say they are fed up with the insurgency in Iraq, and are doing something about it � joining the Iraqi Army. During the one-day screening in this region of about 30,000, 78 of the 189 men who showed up were accepted for enlistment. So far, about 340 Iraqi men have been recruited from Al Anbar Province in recent weeks. One 30-year-old Iraqi man accepted for enlistment said his younger brother had his left leg amputated after infection set in from a gunshot wound from insurgents. �He told me, my brother � �save our country,�� said the man through an interpreter. ��Don�t let another guy end up like me.� I just do this for him.�
