Description
English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (June 12, 2004) — The Ingleside, Texas-based mine warfare ship USS Defender (MCM-2) arrives in Pearl Harbor following her deployment in support of operations and exercises in the Pacific Ocean. Defender arrived with USS Avenger (MCM-1) and Canadian minesweeper HMCS Brandon (MM-710) having transited approximately 7,500 miles since departing Ingleside in March. During their deployment, the ships conducted mine warfare engagement and capabilities briefings with Destroyer Squadrons and Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) staffs based in San Diego, Calif.
