Description U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Aug. 17, 2013) – Search and rescue (SAR) swimmers from the “Indians” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 6 maintain readiness by conducting SAR jumps into the water. HSC-6 is currently deployed with Nimitz Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
