Description
English: Arabian Gulf (Jan 6, 2003) -- Damage Controlman 3rd Class Mike Milam from Dallas, Texas, looks through a Naval Firefighting Thermal Imager (NFTI) aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65). NFTI is a device that allows the user to see through dense smoke and steam by sensing the difference in infrared radiation given off by objects with a temperature difference of at least four degrees Fahrenheit. The Enterprise Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is currently deployed conducting missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the continued war on terrorism.
