Description
English: NORCO, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2011) Retired Rear Adm. Allen "Boot" Hill, 82, from Riverside, Calif., left, shares memorabilia with Capt. Jay Kadowaki, commanding officer of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, during a visit to mark the Centennial of Naval Aviation. Hill is a former commanding officer of the USS Ranger (CVA 61) and was among the Navy's first jet fighter pilots in Korea. Hill also benefited from the Sidewinder missile system conceived at Corona.
