Summary[edit]

Description Roadworks in Newport Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight in March 2011, for the road to be resurfaced. The roadworks were initially scheduled to end on 26 March, however were extended until April. Problems were caused as the closure caused Upper Ventnor to be completely blocked off from lower Ventnor, with the diversion running through Shanklin, making a very short journey incredibly long. Bus services had to run via Whitwell, as seen here, with additional shuttle services running to Wroxall, and no service for Upper Ventnor.
