English: View from Lord Edward Howard's Spring Looking down the Derwent valley from just above Lord Edward Howard's Spring, with Broadhead Clough in the foreground. Lord Edward Howard is (probably) Edward George Fitzalan Howard (1818-1853), who later became first Baron Howard of Glossop. The prominent shooters' track running round the end of Swine Side is, surprisingly, not marked on the OS 1:25000 or 1:50000 maps. |
