English: View from Strand Gate The A259 can be seen turning sharp left to head off to Rye alongside the Royal Military Canal. Camber Castle, a defensive fort built by henry VIII, can be seen in the distance on the marsh (it is nowhere near Camber, but it used to be much nearer the sea). |
