Summary[edit]

Description
English: View over Wingeltang Bay. This bay is also known as Beady Pool due to a wreck in the 17th century of an unknown (believed to be Venetian) ship with cargo of semi-precious beads.

Some say that they can still be found, though the coarse sand on the beach is very much bead-sized and, due to prominent veins of quartz in the headland to the North of the bay, easily mistaken for something other than what it is!

There is a large rock just below the low tide line in the bay called Boy Rock. The story goes that this is so-called because the only survivor of the wreck was the ship's boy who was found clinging to it the following morning, he was rescued and adopted by the islanders.

To the far left, just below the sky line the Punch Bowl 816510 can be seen
