Deutsch: Mit Urkunde vom 6. April 1506 erteilte König Maximilian I. die Erlaubnis, den Brucker Knittl-, Schrotten-, Sensen-, Klingen- und Messerschmieden auf ihren Erzeugnissen das Stadtwappen zu schlagen.
Die Gültigkeit der Wappen der Altgemeinden ist mit der Fusionierung am 1. Jänner 2015 erloschen.
Mit Beschluss der Steiermärkischen Landesregierung vom 11. Februar 2015 wurde das Recht zur Führung eines Gemeindewappens mit neuer Blasonierung ab 20. Februar 2015 neu verliehen.
