Description
English: Warsaw Uprising: Polish partisans from the "Radosław" Regiment photographed after escaping from Warsaw's Old Town to the city centre via the sewers. They began their five and a half hour journey at Krasińskich Square and emerged at the junction of Warecka and Nowy Świat streets in the early morning of 2nd September 1944. The boy on the left of the photo is Tadeusz Rajszczak ("Maszynka") from the "Miotła" Battalion and behind him is Henryka Zarzycka-Dziakowska ("Władka") from the "Parasol" Battalion.
Polski: Powstanie Warszawskie: Żołnierze zgrupowania "Radosław" po kilku godzinnym przejściu kanałami z placu Krasińskich do ulicy Wareckiej na Śródmieście, nad ranem 2 IX 1944. Na pierwszym planie w hełmie Tadeusz Rajszczak ("Maszynka") z baonu "Miotła", za nim Henryka Zarzycka-Dziakowska ("Władka") z baonu "Parasol".
