| Description |
English: Wimborne St. Giles: old finger-post at Bull Bridge One of several old finger-posts in the east of Dorset (and indeed across the county) which retain their original finial giving location and grid reference. The reference given is 029120, rounding up the northing.
This one is also notable for the finger pointing right, abbreviating the village of Sixpenny Handley to 6d Handley. For a close-up of the finial, see 1741303. |
