Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Winter flooding in Woodend Lane, Linton The ditch on the left is in fact the course of the Ell Brook (subsequently a primary tributary into the river Leadon) here in its upper reaches. The ditch is clogged by Water Cress (Nasturtium officinale) and following heavy rain the Ell Brook has flowed over its low banks and into the lane. Since this picture was taken the Water Cress has been cleared and the Ell Brook now flows merrily on its way eastwards at this point without obstruction. |
