| Description |
English: Winterbourne Abbas: Nine Stones This Bronze Age stone circle is in the corner of a wood and right alongside the main A35. However, it is a difficult place to visit as there is no longer a layby opposite in which to park, and the road has no pavement to the village. The layby was on the other side of the road, which meant a hazardous crossing was necessary; now the brown tourist signs pointing it out have been removed, though it is still possible to park in a field gateway opposite. |
