Speedy deletion[edit]
This image was nominated for speedy deletion on the basis that the status on Flickr had changed from a {{Cc-by-2.0}} license (when it was first uploaded to Commons) to © (sometime after it was uploaded to commons). A subsequent change in license over at Flickr is not a ground for deletion here - Creative Commons licenses cannot be revoked. A Flickr photographer cannot stop someone, who has obtained their work under a Creative Commons license, from using that work according to that license. They can stop distributing their work under a Creative Commons license at any time they wish, but this will not withdraw any copies of their work that already exist under a Creative Commons license from circulation.
In such cases, we tag such images with {{Flickr-change-of-license}}. We do not nominate them for deletion. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 13:25, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
