The A-6 Intruder was an American twin jet-engine, mid-wing attack aircraft built by Grumman Aerospace. In service between 1963 and 1997, the Intruder was designed as an all-weather medium attack aircraft. A specialized electronic warfare derivative was designated EA-6A, a tanker variant was designated KA-6D. The digitalized A-6F was cancelled. The Intruder was originally designated A2F, changed after 1962 to A-6.
