English: The Church of the Holy Wisdom, commonly known as Hagia Sophia in English, is the former Greek Orthodox patriarchal cathedral, converted in 1453 to a mosque, now a museum, in Istanbul. It is universally acknowledged as one of the great buildings of the world.
Türkçe: Ayasofya Doğu Roma İmparatorluğu döneminin büyük Ortodoks kiliselerinden biri iken Fatih Sultan Mehmet'in İstanbul'u feth etmesi ile camiye daha sonra da müzeye çevrilmiştir.
Deutsch: Die Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Nach ihrer Fertigstellung wurde sie Ende 537 geweiht und vom Ökumenischen Partriarchat bis zum Fall Konstantinopels als Kathedrale genutzt, dann bis 1932 als Moschee. 1935 wurde das Gebäude säkularisiert und ist jetzt Museum.
