Guide to editing in Fireworks 4.0+[edit]

This is NOT a tutorial on how to use Fireworks 4.0. This is a quick guide on how I draw the borders for each municipality.

Previous municipalities I have added are located in the alphabetical layer folders. Simply click the "eye" to view or make invisible these municipalities. Note that Golf, Illinois is visible on this image. A map from the Northeast planning commission (layer name is bitmap) is a layer located in the counties folder. To draw a municipality, make the county invisible and make the map visible. Note that you may need to also make one of the grey backgrounds invisible too. Use the pen tool to trace the border. Once the border is closed, it should automatically fill in with red. If it doesn't, do this yourself with the bucket tool.

When finished, export the image as an 8-bit PNG with an adaptive color template. The naming convention used is US-IL-Chicagoland-NAMEOFMUNI.png.

Any questions should be left on my talkpage on the english wikipedia (User: Oo64eva) or at my email address oo64eva@gmail.com.
