John I Tzimisces

  • John I, last name Kourkouas and surnamed Tzimisces (Greek: Ioannes "Tzimisces" Kourkouas, written Ιωάννης «Τζιμισκής» Κουρκούας) (c. 925 – 10 January 976) was East Roman Emperor from 11 December 969 to 10 January 976.
