José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896), the "Pride of the Malay Race" and "The Great Malayan," is the national hero of the Philippines.

Francisco Rizal Mercado, Rizal's father. He was born in Biñan, Laguna on April 18, 1818.

Saturnina Rizal Mercado (1850-1913), Rizal's eldest sibling. She was the wife of Manuel T. Hidalgo of Tanauan, Batangas.

Paciano Rizal Mercado (1851-1930) was Rizal's only brother. He was the second child in the family.

Narcisa Rizal Mercado (1852-1939) was Rizal's sister and the third child in the family. She was married to Antonio Lopez of Morong, Rizal.

Olympia Rizal Mercado (1855-1887), was Jose Rizal's sister. She was the fourth child in the Rizal Mercado family. She was married to Silvestre Ubaldo, and died of childbirth in 1887.

Lucia Rizal Mercado (1857-1919), was Rizal's sister and the fifth child of the Rizal Mercado family. She was the wife of Mariano Herbosa.

Maria Rizal Mercado (1859-1945), was Rizal's sister. She was the sixth child in the in the Mercado family. She was the wife of Daniel Faustino Cruz of Biñan, Laguna.

Trinidad Rizal Marcado (1868-1951), was Rizal's sister and the tenth child in the Rizal Mercado family.

Soledad Rizal Mercado (1870-1929), was the sister of Jose Rizal Mercado and the youngest child in the Rizal Mercado family. She was the wife of Pantaleon Quintero.
