A houseboat in the backwaters. Originally they were (about 2 decades back) used as carrier of goods - mainly the agricultural produce like rice, coconut and the industrial goods like clay, coir and tiles. Currently they are re modified as floating houses, a main attraction in the Kerala tourism. |
