English: Kosovo is a disputed territory on the Balkan Peninsula with its capital in Pristina. Its unilateral declaration of independence in 2008 is recognized by some countries and is opposed by other countries, including the Republic of Serbia, which continues to claim it as the "Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija".

Русский: Косово - территория на Балканском полуострове со столицей в городе Приштина, имеющая спорный статус. Декларация независимости края 2008 года признана некоторыми странами легитимной, некоторыми - противозаконной. Независимость края, в частности, не признаётся Сербией, в соответствии с конституцией которой регион является автономным краем Косово и Метохия, входящим в состав Сербии.
