English: Lychee (Litchi chinensis) is the sole member of the genus Litchi in the soapberry family Sapindaceae. It is a tropical fruit tree native to southern China, where it is known as 荔枝 (pinyin: lìzhī), south to Indonesia and east to the Philippines, where it is known as Alupag.

日本語: レイシ（ライチー、ライチ、茘枝）は中国南部原産の熱帯・亜熱帯地方で栽培される果樹。上品な甘さと香りで、表面は赤くうろこ状、果皮をむくと食用になる白色半透明で多汁の果肉と、中に大きい種子がある。

中文: 荔枝，无患子科荔枝属的唯一种，原产于中国南方的亚热带水果，目前分布到泰国和印度尼西亚一带。
