Lothian Buses: Dennis Trident / Plaxton President (W reg standard)

English: The standard^N W registration (Wnnn RSG) batch of the Dennis Trident / Plaxton President fleet of buses operated by Lothian Buses. A total of 27 were delivered from June to August 2000. Fleet numbering began at 546, continuing the series on from the V reg batch, and matched to the registration (e.g. W546 RSG) - 548 also briefly being LSK 548. The series was not fully allocated, with five numbers not actually assigned - 550/55/60/65/70. The first four buses were for the airport fleet, joining V reg examples. The remainder were for the standard fleet, delivered in the original version of Harlequin livery, initially with a simple route branding band, later removed. These buses later received the simplified harlequin livery. The airport buses were later cascaded to the main fleet, receiving simplified harlequin livery with simple lilac route branding for route 35, later removed. All have since been sold.

• ^N - concurrently with these buses, a batch of four open top Tridents were delivered, also on W registrations, being numbered 31-4 (W631-4 PSX), for use in the tour bus fleet.
