Maciej Nowicki (1910-1950) - Polish architect and graphic artist known in the USA as Matthew Nowicki.
He was the husband of Stanislawa Nowicki née Sandecka (b. 1912), his collaborator and also Polish prize-winning graphic artist and American architect, currently Professor Emeritus, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.
Maciej Nowicki designed the posthumously built the pioneering structure of mid-20th century tensile architecture, Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina (known to him and since, in the Polish architectural literature, as the Paraboleum).
