English: Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden (Arabic: أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن‎; 10 March 1957 – 1 May 2011), commonly known as Osama bin Laden, was regarded as the main leader of al-Qaeda, an anti-West group operating in the Muslim world. The group is mainly against the United States federal government, relating to U.S. policies on Israel and Muslim nations. [1] Bin Laden along with several of his family members and associates were assassinated by members of the U.S. military in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
