Palais de Justice (Paris)

English: Palais de Justice is a building complex on the Île-de-la-Cité in Paris. Originally it was the medieval royal castle. From this times are the Conciergerie and the Sainte-Chapelle. The kings moved the residence to the Louvre during the 14th century, the castle became the home of the Parlament (royal court). Mid 19th century a number of buildings were added.
