This is a very widespread frog species (syn.: Rana ridibunda) which easily hybridizes with some other Pelophylax species. The pictures 2 to 4 are taken in an area where only the true species is present. The first picture is also from a reliable source. In different parts of Europe the habitus of P. ridibundus can vary considerably. More reliable pictures are very welcome.
