English: The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (known as Ceylan before 1972) is a tropical island nation off the southeast coast of the Indian subcontinent.
සිංහල: ශ්‍රී ලංකා ප්‍රජාතාන්ත්‍රික සමාජවාදී ජනරජය (1972ට පෙර සිලෝන් නමින් හඳුන්වන ලද) ඉන්දියානු අර්ධද්වීපයේ ගිණිකොන දෙසට වන්නට පිහිටි දූපතකින් සැදි රටකි.
