The Stari Most (English translation: "The Old Bridge") was a 16th century bridge in the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina that crossed the river Neretva and connected two parts of the city. During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995), Croatian forces turned against Bosnian government forces, and destroyed the bridge on November 9, 1993. It was rebuilt 1995–2004, and was added to UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.
