Strandfaraskip Landsins

Strandfaraskip Landsins is the public transport company of the Faroe Islands. It is owned by the Faroese government and runs ferries (Oyggjaleiðir - Island links) and busses (Bygdaleiðir - Village links, blue color).

Note, that the international transport by sea is run by Smyril Line (don't mix it with the local ferry M/F Smyril) and Faroe Ship.

Note, that the city busses in Tórshavn (red color) are run by Tórshavn municipality.

Strandfaraskip Landsins started with the helicopter service in 1984. But today is it run by Atlantic Airways the state-run airline of the Faroes.
