Leonardo da Vinci lived the last ten years of his life in Amboise. He is buried in a tomb in the chapel in the chateau grounds.
Above the portal of the chapel in the chateau grounds there is a sculpture of Saint Eustace with the stag and crucifix between its antlers.It dates about 1410.
