Auto-categorization issues

In the past the recommended text of the creator pages did not include Homecat parameter and had instead the following format:

[[Category:NAME SURNAME]]

At present (as of Oct. 2009) over 3000 pages in Creator namespace follow this format, see Category:Creator templates to fix. All the images using such creator pages, are automatically added to Category:NAME SURNAME, which prevents users from moving such images to more appropriately named categories. For example there were about 600 files automatically categorized by {{Creator:Thomas Eakins}} into Category:Thomas Eakins. After removing auto-categorization works by Thomas Eakins were moved to: Category:Photographs by Thomas Eakins, Category:Paintings by Thomas Eakins, Category:Drawings by Thomas Eakins and Category:Sculptures by Thomas Eakins categories with Category:Thomas Eakins reserved for images of Thomas Eakins and other images related to him. Similar reorganization should be performed for other 3000+ Creator pages. Steps needed to perform such reorganization:

1. Move all the images from Category:NAME SURNAME category to categories such as Category:Photographs by NAME SURNAME or Category:Paintings by NAME SURNAME. Or in case of Category:NAME SURNAME category with small number of images just add Category:NAME SURNAME to all images using {{Creator:NAME SURNAME}}
2. Make sure Creator page is using Homecat parameter and remove Category:NAME SURNAME from Creator page
