  • Who made it: Which U.S. military organization has taken this image. Will be used to subcategorize the image. Default is simply "Armed Forces". Other valid values are:
    • "Army" (A)
    • "Navy" (N)
    • "Air Force" (F)
    • "Marine Corps" (M)
    • "Coast Guard" (G)
    • "National Guard" (Z)
    • "Department of Defense" (D)
    • "Department of State" (S)
    • "Department of Homeland Security" (H)
    • (other values should be added as appropriate...)
  • Webpage: A URL pointing to the source of the image.


Pages with this template will be included in Category:Files created by the United States Armed Forces with known IDs or one of its subcategories:

Where this would be undesirable, e.g. when presenting usage examples such as the one below, this categorization can be suppressed by including the optional parameter "category=" (with nothing after the equals sign).

Pages using this template with invalid or unrecognized parameters will be categorized in Category:Incorrect ID-USMil files.


An example how this template could be used for File:FGM-148_Javelin_-_ID_030206-M-5753Q-008.jpg:
