Usage

This template is used to put the following message on the nine regional categories and some of the key 'by type' sub-categories under those. It does not assert the {{Pennsylvania Nav-grid}}'s table, as is shown here to show text flow.

  • The single parameter "text=" when defined entirely replaces the paragraph "Such named places... last two states."

English: Nine Regions of Pennsylvania schema:

Categories organized by Named Places (cultural 'Regions' in the local sub-culture) which are not necessarily governmental terms such as townships or municipalities, but are widely recognized Named Areas of Pennsylvania's or even the National culture.

  • Such named places are frequently groups or aggregations of communities, municipalities, and cites such as are used in sales literature, maps, or media coverage. Example, valleys such as Delaware, Latrobe, Lehigh, Allegheny, or Monongahela Valley; Note the first such spans 4-5 US states, the last two states.
  • Borders are blurred, not sharp. Some towns and counties will be parts of 2 or 3 regions.
