English: The Type 1 Heavy Machine Gun was the standard heavy machine gun in the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War starting from 1941. It was sometimes used as an light anti-aircraft gun during the war in the Pacific.

中文: 一式重機槍（日文：一式重機関銃，英文：Type 1）是日本在1941年生產的重機槍。日本陸軍兩款採用7.7公厘子彈之槍械，分別為九二式重機槍和九九式步槍。雖然口徑同樣是7.7公厘，但是子彈長度並不相同，因此彈藥無法共通。這點對當時日本後勤單位造成相當困擾。為了解決後勤問題，日本陸軍開發一款可以使用九九式步槍的7.7公厘子彈的重機槍。
