[edit] I'm done with commons (and wp in all likelihood)
Subject says it all.
Inquisitive minds may want to read this. Not extremely significant perhaps, just the last straw. If you stick with commons, but fail to see my point , then you are well endowed for tasks like having a building permit granted in Italy or similar hero-bureaucratic feats. You should consider starting a career in that field.
As always, cheers --Alien life form 14:48, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] More amusing riffraff
I am posting this on my home page only because part of my comments have been deleted (for no apparent reason, other than the obvious Orwellian suspect) from the current revision. I'll remove it when (if) my comments are reinstated. Also I find it all very mildly amusing.

Derivativ work: Image was clearly copied from this copyrighted photo. -- ShaggeDoc talk? 12:07, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- As if it mattered, that is the scan of a (pencil and ink) drawing I made out of the cover of a record I own. Having Cannonball agree to a portrait session was kinda hard, seeing that he's been dead since 1975. Another (not really called for) confirmation that this project and its siblings are really a totally worthless bureaucrat nightmare... Kafka would be delighted. I am amazed that I was ever so dumb as to spend time on this sterile intellectual self play. Go ahead & delete the stuff, see if I care. --Alien life form 13:34, 21 May 2008 (UTC) He who can builds, he who cannot, judges.
- First, you don't have to tell me anything about Cannonball, I know his biography pretty well. Second, yes it does matter because the photo on the cover is a copyrighted work and you have no right to reuse it without permission by the copyright holder (which is in most cases the photographer) unless it is public domain which I doubt. -- ShaggeDoc talk? 14:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Mhhhh,so you know his bio. That's pretty good, keep up the good work...who knows what other pinnacles you may be able to achieve. And of course this petty incident does not matter, as anything going on around here. The only newsworthy item of the entire project is the monumental waste of time and effort employed to produce a corpus of information which increasingly reads as an IRS memo, while being at the same time largely inaccurate or downright false. Cheers, --Alien life form 15:46, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Stop being lame. Also, I think you've got us confused with Wikipedia. See What Commons is not. Lewis Collard! (hai thar, wut u doin) 18:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- No such confusion. In fact I think that commons is quite worse than wp - an astonishing achievement in itself. --Alien life form 07:29, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
