- Is the man walking towards the camera or away from it? Arguments pro "towards": the canes are most often held with the right hand. Arguments pro "away": the photgrapher wouldn't probably have taken the shot if the man was walking towards him; the shadow of the foot on the ground.

Battle of Aljubarrota
- Panel of glazed tiles by artist Jorge Colaço (1922) representing an episode of the battle of Aljubarrota (1385) between the Portuguese and Castilian armies. The Ala dos Namorados (Wing of the fiancés) was the left wing of the Portuguese defense formation. Lisboa, Pavilhão Carlos Lopes.
