Let me try explain again... so you have a reason that will be the same for all the images. Say you call the nomination "All images of artist X".

So you first create the deletion request page, at Commons:Deletion requests/All images of artist X. On that page you need to list all the relevant images and give the reason:

=====
* :Image:image1.jpg
* :Image:image2.jpg
* :Image:image3.jpg
etc

(reason) ~~~~

then add it to the bottom of today's log: Commons:Deletion requests/2024/04/24 put .

Now to mark the images. Normally you would just put reason, now it's only one thing more: reason. Still you can copy and paste this the same on every image page, so it's not so bad.

Now for notifying the uploaders (user talk pages)... it's kinda annoying because you have to change the image name, but that's it:

Image:nameofimagetheyuploaded.jpg

If you have trouble with any step, can you let me know which step, and which page/s, so I can try and see what is happening?

Sorry there's no easier way... :/

Deletes get less attention (you do create the discussion subpage, right? :)) just because there are so many. They take a lot more work for admins to deal with, and there is a backlog of sometimes up to 6 months. But in the cases like you mention I agree, it is better to use Delete, because in the future there is an easy way to look back and see the reasoning.
If you want, next time you have such a case let me know and I will see if I can deal with it quickly. It is still true that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. :) cheers, pfctdayelise (说什么?) 04:28, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
